What does “hybrid format” mean?
The 21st edition of the MUTEK Festival took place over six days in a hybrid format this year, i.e. in physics in two venues in Montreal and in virtual on the Internet via the virtual.mutek.org platform. MUTEK Replay offers you the opportunity to serenely review the majority of the Festival's performances and the Distant Arcades exhibition on-demand until November 30.

Do I have to pay for the content?
The content is currently free of charge and accessible upon registration on this platform. However, we encourage donations to support MUTEK and the artists of the Stream On project if you wish.

Why make a donation?
When we decided to go ahead with the event in the COVID-19 context, our main goal was to support the artists, technicians, and cultural organizations involved, all of whom were paid for their participation in the Festival. Since all online programming is free, donations will make up for the lack of ticketing revenue and allow us to continue our activities next year with even more diverse and inclusive programming. To make a donation simply go to the button on the right in the top menu, or use the button inside the Stream On section if you wish to support the artists from that project.

How do I access online content?
To access the online content, simply register on the home page. Access to the platform is free and possible through a Facebook, Google, Apple or email account.

Do I need a specific bandwidth or internet connection to access the platform in the best conditions?
The platform is optimized for everyone, on computer and mobile, via any type of internet browser.
