Frances Adair Mckenzie - Alisha PiercyCA/QC
Frances Adair Mckenzie is an interdisciplinary artist based in Montréal whose practice includes video installation, sculpture, animation and collaborative ventures. She holds a diploma in New Media from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. She has exhibited work at the Musée d'art contemporain des Laurentides, Centre Clark, OBORO, Parisian Laundry and the Satosphère of the Société des Arts Technologiques (SAT). She is the author of the 2016 augmented reality book Glossed Over & Tucked Up, published by Anteism Books. Her stop-motion virtual reality piece The Orchid and the Bee was developed with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and had its world premiere at Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2020. She is currently an artist in residence at the Fonderie Darling in Montréal.

AMPLIFY D.A.I is an initiative of the British Council in partnership with MUTEK Montréal, MUTEK Buenos Aires and Somerset House Studios in the UK. The programme is supported by Canada Council for the Arts and Fundación Williams.
