This workshop presents several ways in which augmented reality can aid research-creation. Following an introduction of the speakers, Yan Breuleux will briefly sketch out the concept of the “reality-virtuality continuum” in relation to the concepts of extended reality (XR) and cross reality (CR). Audrey Poulin will explain how augmented reality tools form part of an XR approach to production of immersive experiences, underpinned by her experience creating the Glo project, and as a designer. Axel Cobelo will discuss the place of augmented reality in creating new experiences of literature. David Hurtubise will show how these tools can be leveraged for movement capture and analysis in augmented virtuality for production in Local Based Entertainment (LBE). Marc Orman will look at uses of augmented reality as part of a virtual heritage approach. Finally, Rémi Lapierre will investigate the concrete ways in which augmented reality technologies are integral to immersive techniques.
This activity takes place in French and English.
It will remain available in the archives of the Forum’s online application until September 20.
